Nominator's project description
| Professor Saleh is an international authority in the mechanics and electrostatics of DNA. He has pioneered the use of high-precision experiments that use mechanical manipulation to measure electrostatic forces and salt associations of single DNA molecules, with immediate implications for molecular biology. In Germany, he intends to research DNA mechanics at a larger length scale, particularly studying the behaviour of large assemblies of DNA that mimic the physical structure of the genome. |
