Nominator's project description
| Dr. Belbruno is an internationally recognized expert on capture dynamics and a pioneer in applying methods from the theory of chaotic motions to space mission design. His theory was vividly proved by the successful saving of the HITEN mission which found its way to the moon on a low energy transfer orbit. During his stay in Germany he focuses on the connection between capture dynamics and the modern methods of Symplectic topology. |
