Nominator's project description
| Professor Jiang is well known for his pioneering work on the synthesis and design of superwettable and super-repelling interfacial material systems. He always promoted the application of his fundamental research to real life problems using the superwetting for environmental cleaning, decentral water purification or water collection nets for desert places. In Germany, he will drive a project using bio-inspired nanochannels which enable novel energy devices to harvest the so called “blue energy” which is the use of osmotic dilution of salts to create electricity. |
