Nominator's project description
| Professor Deng is a leading expert in semiconductor physics. She has made seminal contributions to a variety of quantum optical systems, including Bose-Einstein condensation, atomic quantum memories and quantum dots. Her work on the condensation of exciton-polaritons in semiconductor microcavities has paved the way for a new research direction with high application potential. In Germany she will explore the physics of confined quantum emitters to understand the emergence of classicality from a quantum system. |
