Nominator's project description
Professor Ramelli is a leading scholar in Patristic philosophy and theology of the third and fourth centuries. She has analyzed Jewish and Christian thinking based on biblical texts within the framework of Platonism, Stoicism and Neo-Platonism. Her studies on Origen, Gregory of Nyssa and Evagrius have given these thinkers a place in a general history of ancient religions. In Germany she will focus on the interaction of religious practices and philosophical discourse, in particular in urban contexts. |
