| Professor Phoon is a globally leading researcher in risk and reliability, particularly in geotechnical engineering. He has made ground-breaking contributions to risk management of engineered systems and natural hazards developing robust methodologies supported by extensive databases that have influenced design codes and proven to be of value to decision making. During his stay in Germany, he will explore novel pathways for resilient design of complex infrastructure systems. |
