Nominator's project description
| Professor Matthias Kipping is well known internationally for furthering a constructive dialogue and cross fertilization between business history and organization theory and management studies. These efforts have inspired and continue to inspire many other scholars in the field, not least with regard to the usage of historical methods and history-sensitive theories. Furthermore, Professor Kipping has pioneered work on the evolution and role of management consultants in knowledge creation and transfer. During his stay in Germany, Professor Kipping will investigate the world-wide networks of former employees of the big consultancy firms as well as these firms’ strategy to build ‘Think Tanks’ that deal with important economics and political and societal problems. |
