Nominator's project description

Dr. Aschenauer is an international expert for high-energy lepton-nucleon scattering. She was crucially involved in many important discoveries in the field including the significant discovery of the spin structure of protons. Dr. Aschenauer is also one of the driving forces behind plans for a new US Electron Ion Collider which promises to revolutionize hadron physics. During her stay in Germany she will collaborate with several groups who want to join this initiative.
