Nominator's project description

Professor Ren is well known internationally for his outstanding research in different fields of materials science. He has made important contributions to the area of thermoelectric materials, carbon nanotubes, thermal management and superconductors and pioneered the field of thermoelectric materials with novel concepts such as nanograined bulk structures. During his stay in Germany, he intends to elaborate novel fabrication techniques for thermoelectric bulk nanomaterials and plans to build whole flexible thermoelectric generators.
