Nominator's project description
| Professor Gutierrez is an international leader in plant systems biology and plant nutrient research. He innovatively combines high-throughput experimental approaches of functional genomics with bioinformatics to identify and dissect regulatory networks that control growth and developmental processes in response to nitrate. During his stay in Germany Professor Gutierrez will continue this systems biology approach to uncover nutrient regulated gene networks during early seedling growth, and provide new targets for engineering traits in plants of agronomic interest. |
