Nominator's project description

Professor Theunissen is well known internationally for his outstanding work in the field of behavioural neuroscience, particularly auditory physiology. He combines neurophysiology, acoustic analysis and behavioral approaches to study the auditory system of humans and birds. During his stay in Germany, he plans to apply his analytical procedures of multi-electrode recordings to study the vocal communication of freely behaving small songbirds using telemetric recording devices.
