Nominator's project description

Professor Sagnotti is an outstanding theoretical physicist with major contributions to the theory of general relativity, supergravity and string theory. His scientific interests include mathematical physics, particle physics and cosmology. Some of his ideas are likely to be part of the extension of the standard model of particle physics. In Germany, Professor Sagnotti will work on applications of supergravity models, cosmological inflation as well as Cosmic Microwave Background.
