Nominator's project description
| Professor Johnson is an internationally leading inorganic solid state chemist. He is well known for developing a synthesis approach called modulated elemental reactants. With this approach a nearly infinite number of solid compounds can be synthesized. Johnson’s synthetic method has opened new perspectives in the design, synthesis and properties of low-dimensional layered materials. In Germany he continues his research towards electrochemical applications and energy storage. |
