Nominator's project description
Professor Yamaguchi is an international authority in the development and study of functional pi-electron materials based on main-group chemistry. He has done pioneering work on new pi-conjugated skeletons based on alkyne cyclizations, developed novel boron-containing functional pi-electron materials, and designed new fluorescent molecules for applications in bioimaging. In Germany, Professor Yamaguchi will continue his research on “Boron-based chromophores for optoelectronics and bioimaging. |
