Nominator's project description
| Professor Signorell is worldwide renowned for her outstanding research in aerosol science. She has developed advanced spectroscopic techniques which allow her to study molecular transformations in the interior and on the surface of tiny aerosol particles. These processes are of prime importance for air quality, precipitation initiation and climate. During her stay in Germany, she intends to extend this work to molecules and nanoparticles of water and aqueous systems in electrodynamic confinement. |
