Nominator's project description
| Professor Midgley is an international leader in biodiversity and climate change science and policy. His work has demonstrated how physiological processes of plants influence the biosphere’s response to climatic change. Professor Midgley has further ensured that ecological and southern African perspectives are articulated in international climate change and biodiversity policies. During his stay in Germany Professor Midgley will upgrade the representation of plant physiology n global models of ecosystem and biodiversity dynamics. |
