Professor Laliberte is a leading political scientist whose research crosses the borders between disciplines, languages, and regions. He has made contributions and has developed impressive expertise in the areas of religious diversity in East Asian democracies, religious philanthropy and social welfare, filial piety and the work of care, as well as of religion and national identity. In Germany, he will focus on the role of religion in the field of social welfare in Chinese societies.
