Nominator's project description
| Professor Kavalali is well known internationally for his outstanding research on the mechanisms and functional relevance of spontaneous neurotransmitter release in the brain. He has developed techniques to study the fusion and recycling of single neurotransmitter-filled synaptic vesicles with the plasma membrane. In Germany he will extend his research using super-resolution imaging approaches and novel animal models. |
