Nominator's project description
| Prof. Panati is internationally renowned for his outstanding research in the field of mathematical physics of condensed matter. He has made important contributions to a rigorous understanding of the existence, properties and construction of Wannier functions in non-trivial topological materials. Prof. Panati combines a wide variety of methods from analysis and geometry with intuitive physical insight. In Germany, he intends to work on the generalisation of the Localization-Topology Correspondence to non-periodic that is randomquantum systems. |
