Nominator's project description
| Professor Vakakis is well known internationally for his outstanding research in Nonlinear Dynamics. He has made important contributions to analytical methods and the discovery and explanation of the localization of vibration energy due to nonlinearities. During his stay in Germany, he continues his work on nonlinear normal modes, directed energy transfer in mechanical systems and nonlinear system identification. |
