Nominator's project description
| Professor Nicholson is a world-leading researcher in African meteorology and climatology and a renowned living expert on dryland climatology. She has made important contributions to the understanding of continental-scale rainfall variability over Africa in present and past climates. During her stay in Germany, she intends to elaborate on the causes of rainfall variability in the Congo Basin, host to the Earth’s second largest rainforest. |
