Nominator's project description
Professor Biegler is well known for his outstanding research in nonlinear dynamic optimization. He has made valued contributions to control theory and its application to complex chemical processes. Professor Biegler strives for the extension of mathematical methods and algorithms in nonlinear programming. During his stay in Germany, he intends to further methods for optimal control of real-life chemical plants and simultaneous solution methods for optimization under uncertainty. |
