Nominator's project description
| Professor Soudzilovskaia is well known internationally for her outstanding research at the interface of environmental sciences and ecology. Her research focuses on the impacts of environmental changes on biodiversity. Professor Soudzilovskaia combines experimental-based research on interactions between soil organisms, plants, and carbon cycling, with the development of quantitative mathematical models of the functioning of ecosystems. During her stay in Germany, she intends to explore how soil biodiversity drives ecosystem functioning at local to global scales. |
