| Professor Mejcher-Atassi has made significant contributions to the study of modern Arabic literature and cultural and intellectual history. Her publications on interrelations of word and image, book art, writers’ libraries, archives, and collecting practices in the Arab world are highly innovative and impactful, and inspire comparative study. In Germany, she continues her research on literary biography and writers’ libraries. |
