Nominator's project description

Professor Marshall-Colón is an outstanding researcher in computational modelling in plant biology. She is especially well known for developing mathematical multiscale models to improve the understanding of plant growth processes and guiding molecular engineering and breeding of crops for stressful environments and climate change. During her stay in Germany, Professor Marshall-Colón aims to scale up the models currently used from the molecular level up to the field level and even the ecosystem.
