Nominator's project description
| Professor Goni has made crucial contributions to membrane biophysics, including the understanding of multiple functions of ceramides and insights resolving shortcomings of the lipid raft hypothesis. The field owes him countless successful initiatives promoting our science, foster exchange between physics and biology and moderate joint efforts to resolve controversies. In Germany, he will work on optimizing the solubilization of membrane components by detergents |
