Nominator's project description
| Professor Bornman is well-known internationally for her outstanding research in communication rehabilitation for individuals with little or no functional speech as well as access to justice for these individuals. She has made important contributions to the promotion and protection of the human rights of all persons with disabilities especially individuals with significant communication disabilities. During her stay in Germany, she intends to elaborate research methodology and access to speech and language therapy resources for under-resourced languages and countries in Africa. |
