Nominator's project description
| Professor Ihme is well known internationally for his contributions to the development of novel simulation techniques. These techniques combine high-order discretization, advanced shock-capturing and innovative multiphase models for enabling reliable predictions of complex aerothermochemical flows, heat transfer, and multiphase dynamics. During his stay in Germany, he intends to perform numerical simulations of experiments on a new generation of ablative material probes and jointly conduct experiments of ablative materials in particle-laden flow field. |
