Nominator's project description
| Professor Woods has made significant contributions to the physics of Dirac materials, to thermoelectric and spin-thermal transport, ab initio simulations for the prediction of new materials and properties, and to transport theory, among other fields. Her approach is characterized by bringing a broad range of theoretical and computational tools to bear on cutting-edge problems while keeping real materials always in focus. In Germany, Professor Woods will work on the transport of charge and energy in semimetals, unconventional materials of high current interest. |
