Nominator's project description

Professor Olman is an internationally recognized scholar in the Rhetoric of Science with expertise in the public and political impacts of scientific discourse. Over the course of her career, her research areas have included the ethos or political role of the science advisor in American public life, the visualization of environmental risks such as climate change and the decolonization of science communication. In Germany, Professor Olman is collaborating on a book project about the global visualization of forests for climate management.
