Nominator's project description
| Professor Hertel is a widely known economist who pioneered quantitative analysis of the farm and food sector and international trade policy. He has extended the applied general equilibrium modelling framework to embrace other disciplines with a focus on food security, climate change and poverty reduction. During his stay in Germany, he will advance GLASSNET, an interdisciplinary network studying tradeoffs and synergies within the global food-energy-water-climate system. |
