Nominator's project description
Professor Yudin is well-known internationally for creating powerful tools for chemical synthesis and for developing amphoteric reactivity as the guiding principle in designing new chemical transformations. His laboratory developed aziridine aldehydes as well as a class of molecules where boron’s propensity to undergo migration to heteroatoms is prevented. His recent work in peptide chemistry revealed effective means of constructing synthetic challenging macrocycles and his discoveries provide inside into bioactive structures. In Germany, Professor Yudin will work on constructing novel synthetic challenging macrocycles with carbohydrate decoration for a host of medical applications relying on innovative bioactive structures. |
