Nominator's project description
| Professor Ashman is well-known internationally for her interdisciplinary work in genomics, evolution, plant-animal interactions and community ecology. Her work in the model system of strawberries led to an entirely new hypothesis for sex chromosome turnover and ignited new interest in sex chromosome diversity in plants. In Germany, she will focus connecting plant traits such as polyploidy to plant reproductive success through their influence on plant-pollinator interactions. |
