Nominator's project description

Professor Zhou is a leading chemist and has been most influential in advancing the chemistry of coordination space. He focuses on the design, the synthesis, and application of hollow coordination cages and metal-organic frameworks (MOFs). He is best known for introducing a toolkit for materials pore engineering towards gas storage and gas separation, catalysis, and biomedicine. In Germany, he intends to collaborate on bioinspired hierarchical MOF-architectures with synergetic catalytic functions. Professor Zhou is hosted by Professor Roland Fischer at the Technical University of Munich.
