Nominator's project description
Professor Agostini is an international authority in the study of Zoroastrian literature in Late Antiquity and the leading expert on the Zoroastrian apocalyptical tradition and its connections with other apocalyptical traditions. He combines extraordinary qualifications as a philologist that covers less well-explored areas with a deep understanding of the Zoroastrian religious tradition. During his stay in Germany, he will work on the second part of an important book by Maušcihr, the leading authority of the priests of Fārsin in the ninth century. |
