Nominator's project description

Prof. Zaroubi is an international authority in different fields of Physical Cosmology. He has pioneered the topic of cosmographical reconstruction, which currently plays a pivotal role in the understanding of cosmological data. He was amongst the first to measure the temperature of the primordial intergalactic gas, and to further investigate the universe in these remote times through its 21cm radio signature, in 2004 he co-started the groundbreaking LOFAR Epoch of Reionization project. During his stay in Germany, he will set a new benchmark in the techniques used for the interpretation of the 21cm signal.
