Nominator's project description
Professor Gasser is internationally well known for his outstanding research in vascular biomechanics. He has made important contributions to soft tissue theory and risk assessment of aortic aneurysms. In the latter area, his scientific work concentrates on the goal of providing physicians with decision-making tools for the risk assessment of a possible rupture of the aorta. During his stay in Germany, he intends to elaborate on refining new models for the development of plaques and aneurysms and their substantiation. |
