Nominator's project description
| Professor McGill is a world-leading biodiversity scientist who has made critical advances to the understanding of macroecological patterns from local to global scales by combining theory, statistics and a deep understanding of nature, especially birds and trees. During his stay in Germany, Professor McGill will advance cutting-edge methodology for quantifying biodiversity and its change across spatial and temporal scales, and to apply this methodology to global datasets where biodiversity change has been a critically important, but poorly quantified and hotly debated topic. |
