Nominator's project description
| Professor Yan is an international leader in the field of structural DNA nanotechnology. He has been a pioneer in the design and construction of a series of novel DNA nanostructures and nanomechanical devices and the development of DNA-directed enzyme cascades, nanoparticle arrays, and light harvesting complexes, utilizing the chemical and spatial addressability of nucleic acid molecules. During his stay in Germany, he intends to explore the use of nucleic acid nanotechnology for programmable materials and programmable medicine. |
