Nominator's project description

Professor Shustova is well known internationally for her outstanding research on the physicochemical properties of Metal-Organic Frameworks, called MOFs. MOFs represent a novel class of porous multifunctional materials. Professor Shustova was among the first to focus on the photo-physics of MOFs, and she is recognized as a leading figure in this field. During her research stay in Germany, she intends to combine photoswitching with the catalytic functions of MOFs for controlling energy harvesting, transfer, and conversion.
