Nominator's project description
| Professor Sitch is well known internationally for his outstanding achievements in the field of vegetation modelling, the terrestrial carbon cycle and land-atmosphere interactions. His pioneering work in developing the Lund-Jena-Potsdam Dynamic Global Vegetation Model has had a profound impact on Earth System Science. In Germany, he focuses on improving historical carbon cycle assessments in combination with carbon cycle modelling using a novel Earth System Model. |
