Nominator's project description
Professor Siemens is internationally renowned for his outstanding research on the history of the Weimar Republic, the Third Reich and the history of violence in the 20th century. Through his research, he combines a wide variety of historiographical methods, and his books have been published in several languages. During his stay in Augsburg, he will be working on his new project: a global history of the United Restitution Organisation, a Jewish NGO founded in London in 1948, representing applicants worldwide in restitution proceedings in Germany. |
