Nominator's project description
| Professor Hyster is internationally recognized for his exceptional research in combining photochemistry with biocatalysis. By irradiating cofactor-dependent enzymes with visible light, he has discovered previously unknown enzyme functions and can program these enzymes to catalyze specific unnatural reactions. In Germany, he continues his research on assembly controlled chemical photocatalysis. |
