Nominator's project description

Professor Abgrall is internationally recognized in the applied mathematics community for his outstanding contributions to numerical methods for hyperbolic systems. He has made several pioneering contributions in the field, including the development of essentially non-oscillatory schemes for unstructured meshes, cell-centered Lagrangian schemes, and residual distribution methods. During his stay in Germany, he will collaborate with different teams on structure-preserving numerical schemes, the analysis of residual distribution schemes, and the active flux method.
