Nominator's project description
| Professor Shinichi Ohta is well known for his pioneering work on weighted Ricci curvature for Finsler manifolds and its relation to optimal transport and nonlinear heat flow. His works are revolutionary and have rebuilt comparison geometry and geometric analysis on Finsler manifolds. During his stay in Germany, he will address the challenge of Wasserstein contraction estimates for the heat flow on Finslerian spaces as well as barycenter concepts and gradient flow theory in space-times. |
