Nominator's project description

Professor Russo is an internationally renowned ecologist and a leading figure in contemporary biodiversity science. He has significantly advanced our understanding of how animal behavior and ecological processes are shaped by environmental change. His research focuses on bats as model organisms due to their ecological importance, sensitivity to disturbance, and functional role in ecosystems. During his stay in Germany, he will advance his research in the fields of sensory ecology and functional morphology.
