Nominator's project description
| Professor Haddad has made outstanding contributions to research on language and literacy development. She has shown how differences between spoken dialects and standard language influence reading acquisition, especially for Arabic-speaking children. Her work has broadened international literacy research by highlighting the importance of multilingual and bidialectal learning contexts. During her stay in Germany, she will pursue further research into developmental language and reading disorders. |
