Nominator's project description
| Professor Guadagnini is a global leader in stochastic groundwater hydrology and porous media science. By combining stochastic theory, geostatistics, and high-resolution experiments, he has quantified chemical weathering and reactive transport processes, enabling environmental risk assessments, design of monitoring networks, and groundwater management. During his stay in Germany, he will collaborate on developing stochastic and process-based frameworks to improve prediction of groundwater quality, soil salinization and reactive transport in heterogeneous subsurface environments. |
