Nominator's project description
| Professor Tian is an internationally renowned Earth system scientist with a special focus on understanding the imprint of anthropogenic activities on global biogeochemistry and the planetary greenhouse gas balance. He has made important contributions to the understanding of the drivers underlying recent trends in the budget of the greenhouse gas nitrous oxide. During his stay in Germany, he intends to synthesize new observations and model results to enhance our understanding of the global nitrogen cycle. |
