Nominator's project description

Professor Hwang is a leading scientist of international reputation in the field of electrochemistry. He developed a range of in-situ spectroscopic techniques providing a fundamental understanding of the charge-discharge mechanisms in lithium ion batteries and nano-scale catalysts with enhanced electrocatalytic activity and durability. In Germany, Professor Hwang focuses on degradation phenomena in solid-state lithium batteries.
